About
Who we are
Dan's Tunes is a Seattle-based music journalism site. We focus on covering the local scene, from Tacoma to Shoreline.
Our Identity
Dan's Tunes was founded in September 2017 by Dan Ray.
After growing up in Detroit suburbs and graduating from the University of Michigan in 2016, Ray moved to Seattle in April 2017. While working a desk job, she started the first iteration of Dan's Tunes — a blog covering nationwide acts — as an outlet for her creativity.
Discouraged about the lack of press surrounding Seattle's underground music scene, Ray decided to move Dan's Tunes into its current form: a fully fledged music journalism website focused on showcasing the Seattle area's musicians. There's so much music happening in the city that spawned Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Jimi Hendrix — among others — and Dan's Tunes is determined to find and expose those outstanding acts.
Ray's ultimate goal is to make Dan's Tunes a nation-wide, reputable source for music journalism, with satellite sites in other major cities around the country.
Mission Statement
Creating a space for the music community to thrive.

The best format to send the tracks in is an unlisted Bandcamp/SoundCloud link.
